Free Film Festivals
https://www.freefilmfestivals.org/

A community group that organises free neighbourhood film festivals, to encourage community involvement through film.

The first Free Film Festival took place in 2010 in Peckham and Nunhead, South East London, and the idea has spread from there.

Our festivals, which are completely run by volunteers, bring people together to enjoy films they might not have seen in places they may not have been. Each festival is run by its own group of volunteers, but with support from other festivals, including shared projection equipment.

London Screen Archive

https://www.londonsscreenarchives.org.uk/

London’s Screen Archives is a unique network of over 70 organisations with a shared vision – to preserve and share London’s history on film.

The network is managed by Film London and encompasses organisations that hold heritage film collections across London, including local and borough archives, museums, galleries, public sector bodies, community groups, and national charities. We work with our members to digitise their films and ensure the long-term sustainability of their moving image collections, as well as offering opportunities for public engagement through screenings and events, volunteering programmes, training and education.

All our members’ collections are brought together and made searchable through this website, and the London’s Screen Archives team are available for any queries on the collections, including licensing and research.
