Caleb's debut novel, Open Water, is published in February by Penguin Viking and will be available from Lewisham Libraries.

Two young people meet at a pub in South East London… But two people who seem destined to be together can still be torn apart by fear and violence.
At once an achingly beautiful love story and a potent insight into race and masculinity, Open Water asks what it means to be a person in a world that sees you only as a Black body, to be vulnerable when you are only respected for strength, to find safety in love, only to lose it.

'A beautiful and powerful novel about the true and sometimes painful depths of love
Candice Carty-Williams, bestselling author of QUEENIE

Caleb also had a recent photographic exhibition in Lewisham Libraries

Caleb commenting on his photography:
‘The way light might graze someone’s face in the middle of the day, or someone’s eyes might glint in almost dusk. I was told recently photography means writing light and it’s usually the way light might interact with a person, or vice versa, that I’m attracted to. What light might reveal, what might emerge and shine from the shadows.’
