Lewisham Digital Reading Group

The book we have chosen for our first read is The House at the End of Hope Street by Menna van Praag. It is set in Cambridge where Alba Ashby, after suffering the worst events of her life, finds herself outside number 11 Hope Street. She has 99 nights and no longer, to stay there and turn her life around. Once inside having accepted the challenge, she finds that past residents who also lost hope include Virginia Woolf and Agatha Christie.
Reading this tale of magical realism seems a perfect choice for these strange days we are living in. So download the ebook for free from RBDigital and start reading and we will get together to discuss it on Tuesday 12 May at 20:00 on Zoom.

To take part in the book discussion mail your contact details to Katrina.blench@lewisham.gov.uk
(GDPR principles and council guidelines on using Zoom will be followed).

If you wish to take part using a different way to communicate do email me.
